Great billing, I must say ;)

I've never hears most of the bands listed and thats rare...
I think I'll use the one-day ticket for Saturday, only 17€.
Finntroll will play the same day and I guess that they are the headliner. So Tristania should play before them.

Extremely strange festival for Tristania. But I know that there will be some fans, four, five or something like that ;)

Shutting desires out

I just came back from the festival (i only saw Tristania) and it was great! The audience was extremely quiet (I think there weren't many fans...) at the beginning but that changed completely after some songs. They seemed to love it and the band liked that too, I think ;)
And it was my longest Tristania concert ever, nearly 80 minutes. Perfect weather, nice sound, great band, what else can you ask for? ;)
Kjetil is the best replacement for Østen I can imagine and I liked his performance very much.

Three new songs were played yesterday, Protection has never been played before.
I filmed Protection and Sirens, hope that the quality is ok...

Setlist (mixed up in some parts):

(Intro)World Of Glass
Emerald Piper
Circus
Tender Trip On Earth
Sirens
Shadowman
Beyond The Veil
Mercyside
Protection
The Wretched
(Intro)Libre
Sacrilege
Down
Escalate the drought
Itching to join the fray
Wishing darkness was sound
Shutting desires out
Wishing darkness was sound
But as moths to the flame...We go

Can you upload the videos please? I'm very curious about Sirens and Protection, they sound really interesting from what Anders described a few months ago.
By the way, awesome setlist!  :)
I wish I was there!

Cool photos!
You know you listen to too much music when you start measuring time in "songs" instead of minutes...

The sound is really crappy (looks like my camera didn't like that heavy bass up front...) but I can try to filter it somehow. Maybe it will be a bit more listenable afterwards...
I can't say much about this two songs but they sounded quite promising. Mary gets very loud in Sirens...

Liked it, too, but WoG at the beginning is not the best choice. Nothing can beat Libre at the first position, especially because of that great intro ;) (but they played it later with intro which was a very good idea).

I never expected to hear Tender Trip On Earth which was the first Tristania song I ever liked. And it was as beautiful live as I expected ;)

I think Lan Anh Nguyen Thi's photos create a real new / different feel to the live Tristania shows ..

Love them :)
