Maybe this message from their facebook should reassure you : "Violin virtuoso Pete Johansen is joining Tristania for the first part of the Rubicon Tour, from London to Krakow!!"

Well, the band is on the move, so the tour has started! (Even though the upcoming 2 dates are still in Norway).

Great videos! I loved them!
When you like the live version of a song ("Down", in my case) more than the old studio version, then you know the band is doing a really great job! *_*

^ Wow, no offense, but I'd be pissed if I saw them and they'd only play such a short set. I know someone who went to the London show and I can assure you she paid for a full show (I think she paid 16 pounds or something?) compared to the size of the venue and not a set of about an hour. I'm personally not seeing them this tour (I'm not paying 45 euros for a festival with only one band that has my interest!), so I'm not affected, but I sincerely hope for everyone who's seeing a full show this tour that they lengthen the set with at least fifteen minutes. (And come on, it's not like Tristania don't have enough material to play, like Libre, World of Glass, Angellore and other songs that should be a must on every Tristania set.)

I was going to go to the London show and was gutted when I woke up really ill and couldn't go, but seeing that tiny setlist I'm not feeling so bad. 20 ticket + 36 train ticket + almost five hours of travelling + probably very over-priced drinks like all London bars all for an eleven track set? I can't say I mind missing that afterall, even though I'm loving the new album and judging by the videos that have been put up, TTOE and Shadowman would have been good to see too. Ah well.

More bands need to play venues outside of London and really anything less than an hour and a half set is kind of shocking for a headline act.

Indeed. Btw, could some who went to the gig, or even anyone from the band, tell us what song or songs Silje sang?  ;D

Amazing show in Amsterdam last night, excellent sound, high energy set!   :D
In Amsterdam they played 75 minutes (13 songs, 3 encores).  In Stavanger at Folken at the release party it was 90 minutes. Don't forget that (like in London) there are 2 support bands on the bill, so you can see 3 bands instead of 1. London was the first show with 2 support bands, maybe there was a curfew or they were searching for the right balance.

The venue decided on the times as far as I am aware. The band wasn't too happy either with the amount of time allocated to them in London, the gigs in the Netherlands were both well over an hour.

Asrai is a great live-band and seriously underrated! UnSun has potential, but need to work on their stage-presence: right now it's close to nil (but I got word this line-up only had three gigs under it's belt, tonight in Paris will be their fourth).

Both gigs in the Netherlands were done well by Tristania, but it was a tough crowd in Amsterdam.

It is always though in Amsterdam, unless there is huge band like Foo Fighters playing there :-)
there was feedback from the audience what means that they liked it, but Hengelo was much better. I am so proud that 'we' have a new venue there, and all the nice people are travelling over to see them there. It was a good weekend, and very nice that they changed the setlist a bit. Liked both, so I am very statisfied!

I got the setlist from the London show and got it signed. They didn't play Sacrilege, but as was said they added Magical Fix as a 2nd encore.

Also it happened to have the Norwegian setlists on the back ;)

The London show was about 65 minutes in total. I would guess the reason that it was short is because there was a curfew at The Underworld as there was a 'club night' afterwards.  The curfew was 10:30 so they could have played for longer considering they finished at about 5 minutes past ten.
But they did come out after the show to meet us, so it was probably a choice between that and playing longer.
I have to admit, when Kjetil said "this is our last song" before Shadowman, I couldn't believe it, I thought it must be a joke, 45 minutes into the set!

Oh yeah, apart from the length it was a fantastic show, really impressed with everyone, Mariangela is a star, Anders' growls were impressive and all the new members did a great job.
Asrai are terrible, Unsun are ok, the girl is sweet with her attempt at speaking English to the crowd: "and now I'd like to say ... ummm ... nevermind" :)
