Ha, I didn't see until afterwards but this was the Milan
setlist that my camera almost totally whited out with the flash, pic taken in London.
But it was the same as they played in London :
Year of the Rat
Beyond the Veil
The Shining Path
Tender Trip on Earth
except we didn't get Sacrilege as an encore.
I got there just in time to see Serenity's last song. Not my thing, pretty cheesy, it ended with an a capella harmony vocal line, couldn't see who was singing the 2nd part or if that was on tape ...
Xandria were pretty good, the vocalist was more operatic than I was expecting, though that could be because she's about the 3rd or 4th one they've had so she may be a bit different in style.
Van Canto made me think of a boy (+1 girl) band the way they came prancing on stage. I quite enjoyed the Nightwish, part of Metallica, and Iron Maiden songs they did. Though I find it a bit silly overall and it gets wearing after a while. They did get a very good reaction though.
Tristania were great of course, a couple different songs from last year. Hmm, maybe The Shining Path was my favourite song, bombastic opening and ending, "burn me on the fire"
Set was an hour long which I expected given the lineup of the tour, but still want to see a 'proper' full headlining set! They and Van Canto did a little meet and greet at the end (other bands came out straight after they played) and I talked with Gyri for a little bit and just got a pic with Mariangela before they threw us out of the venue.
May post some pics later.
