Would love to share a drink with any members of the forum in sunny London.
BTW The Academy drinks are not cheap, at the recent Delain gig I was charged  4.60 a pint  :o

Looks like I'll go to the London show.  Almost the exact same day as Tristania last year!
Are Van Canto headlining/playing last, looking at the poster?  Maybe they'll swap it round depending on the territory.

The line-up given on ticketing sites for the London show is
Tristania, Revamp, Van Canto, Xandria, Amberian Dawn, which is good :)

i'll try to go to milan but f@ck, when it comes to italy, always milan, milan, milan! ok it's pretty obvious and i wouldn't complain if i were closer so... but it's frustrating.
why not slovenia, which is so easier for me?! i'll write to their management suggesting some venues hehe.

anyway i just had a "nice chat" on metalitalia.com, the main italian metal portal about this concert. fucking gawd, i'm so tired of certain people. and i'm NOT referring to people with an opinion opposite to mine; i'm referring to people unable to explain their opinion or just merely pretty ignorant.
sorry guys, had to let it out!

if anyone coming to milan needs info/help with stuff that it's in italian, feel free to ask!

I know what you feel, most of the tours are avoiding south-east of France (and we have the 2nd biggest city of France: Marseille) so we have to go to Paris or Lyon  :(

Let me know when the tickets will be for sale, I'll probably need some help.

according to ticketone, the main agency for selling tickets to events in italy, tickets are already available: http://www.ticketone.it/Templates/nc_id448352_pt529_Out-Of-The-Dark-Fest.html for 25,30 .

quite fair i must say, i had expected something more expensive. BUT, there are chances that tickets bought in slovenia (i live on the border) might be cheaper; for that, we must wait. anyway i'll  post here any news.
after all there's plenty of time to decide.

of course my help is also addressed to those who need travel infos or accomodations!

On the site of biebob (the belgian venue where the OotD festival is being held) it only mentions ReVamp, Tristania, Van Canto and Amberian Dawn, and no Xandria. :/ (I couldn't really care less because the only bands I like on the bill are Tristania, Van Canto and ReVamp. :P ) I assume biebob just made a mistake with that? I usually follow their site to see if they have any concerts I might like up, and they usually don't update their site too professionally. :/ ( http://www.biebob.com/pages/index.php?f=concerts&i=495 )
I also wonder what set time each band will get. Considering it's a festival tour I'm thinking (if Van Canto and Tristania are co headliners) of something like: Amberian Dawn 30 min, Xandria 40 min, ReVamp 50 min, and Van Canto and Tristania 1h each? Although I obviously hope the last three get a longer set. :D

I`m surprised Revamp arn`t top of the bill. May be Because of Tristania`s longevity and numerous albums they are  the bill topper. I`ve never heard of Van Canto  ;D

I'm pretty sure if After Forever were still around, they'd top the bill, however since ReVamp is a relatively new band and still finding their way in music, it's no surprise to me that they aren't headlining. (It however was a big surprise to me when last year, on metal female voices fest, they were higher on the bill than Tristania!!!) I personally like ReVamp, but I don't think they're worthy headlining when both Tristania and Van Canto are on the bill.
As for Van Canto, well, they're a cappella metal and they make a lot of covers but have some of their own songs as well. I think they're great so I'd say you should really check them out!
And if you're not familiar with Amberian Dawn, I think you'd like them if you like bands as Delain, but personally, it's not my cup of tea.

And apparently Xandria really aren't playing the Belgian show. :( ( http://www.xandria.de/ ) While I'm not a fan of them, I've heard good things of them ... :/

Cheers for your opinions, i think i agree with you on your theory of billing, Amberian Dawn, i`ve seen them the once in London 2 years ago and met Heidi, and had Kasperi, i think his name is, staring down my camera lense for a picture, there first album was ok but it didn`t make me buy their second. Van Canto sound as if they are on the same lines as Apocalyptica, and if so, i`m not able to take them seriously. But i`m sure i`ll survive till i see them live.  ;D

That's closer but still nowhere near me, and my Schengen visa just expired with no hope of immediate renewal - not until I get a new passport (it expires in February). Hope they do come nearer at some point...
