also noticed that this:

Quote
I serve your will - for I have been ordinated your lover

A lot of people tell me that it should be ordained.. why did they spell it ordinated?

Probably a word game (at the end of 'Cure')

Ordinate is a mathematic word, it's one of the elements that determines a point.

Ordinated (that doesn't seem to exist) is derived from Ordinate, but indeed the correct word should be Ordained

If you mix the sense of Ordained and Ordinate, it gives more darkness to the song : the victim is nothing more than single points, like the points of the ashes ..., and you are at the same time the eternal server/lover of Isis for example ... so, the mystic aspect of the song is in the word game ...

People! You are so.... (curious)
MAYBE it is:
endogen + isis...
(Webster's New World Dictionary endogen is n. from French endogène (see ENDO- & -GEN): the stems were formerly believed to grow from within former term for MONOCOTYLEDON)
WHO KNOWS?!

Well, endogenesis is a term used for "growth from within", so line with "within your skin" would make sense with / without Isis.

I still tend to think that it's a printing error (it's very common). But lyricists, writers and any artists have very interesting creative processes, so I wouldn't be surprised either if it was indeed intended to be an "I".

It could indeed be a reference to ISIS.

Take a look at this page : http://www.touregypt.net/isis.htm

Especially this excerpt :

"Thus when she wished to make Ra reveal to her his greatest and most secret name, she made a venomous reptile out of dust mixed with the spittle of the god, and by uttering over it certain words of power she made it to bite Ra as he passed. When she had succeeded in obtaining from the god his most hidden name, which he only revealed because he was on the point of death, she uttered words which had the effect of driving the poison out of his limbs, and Ra recovered."

And compare to some words of the song :

"There is only one way out
One word left to shout
....
I will find the truth within your skin
....
You try to sink me in the mud "

That is a very insightful finding, I have to tip my hat to you, but I don't have one.
If it is an error, and is supposed to be endogenesis, it means a growth from within. I think mars2000you is correct.

"I will find the truth within your skin
You keep feeding me distractions
Feeding me lies "--- In the legend i have read Ra lists many of his names, non of which cure him.
Thusly i say that the theroy is probably right.

I noticed more errors. Given English isn't their native language maybe these mistakes were made while writing it.

Although Tristania writes their songs pretty damn well :) Everyone screws up, once in a while. I'm from the USA, so I'm a native english speaker, and even I screw up most of the time. It just amazes me how well Tristania, even Opeth, H.I.M., and even Arch Enemy and a whole ton more write so beautifully. I'd never be able to write songs like all of them in English. And when they sing/growl them, they get the pronunciations all right.
