Is it the complete version or just a copy of the promo cd?

Dumbass question.  Whats this emule you speak of?  Virus or spyware hidden on the files?  I don't think my comp could possibly run any slower at this point but I am still curious.

Ah alright thanks.  Well thats not a big deal imo.  The album has pretty leaked to the point that anyone who is interested can have access to it.  I would think Tristania would gain some sales as well with this added exposure.  I don't even think thats as big of a deal as is making the cd available to certain(the right) metal distributors online.

It`s a promotional version of the album, usually sent to some publicists for review. And one of them must have ripped the cd and put it on the net.

I totaly agree with you, it`s not that bad - well it`s not fair, but a lot more people will download it and listen to it...  <_<

imho it's better that they download it, listen to it, and if they like it recommend it to friends and visit concerts of Tristania and so on... so probably Tristania makes even more money because of file-sharing...

I agree, the actual cd is always better. Pertaining to the original topic, I have come across the downloadable songs, and have downloaded them. It is great to listen to their music as a preview but that won't stop me from buying the cd. For one thing, I do respect the band and as I have said, the cd is better.

I agree. I have many many pirate cds, but I always buy the original if I really like the sound of mp3s... not to mention the difference between the quality of mp3s comparing to cds....

I download to see what I prefer and then end up purchasing the albums that I prefer most.  I think its better this way because you don't have to shell out 20 dollars of hard earned money to find out that you purchased a fluke album based on word of mouth or a great 30 second clip.  I usually just store some albums on data disk(usually ones im not as interested in) in case I feel the need to give them another shot some day.  If Ashes ends up in stock one of the three places where I purchase CD's, I will buy it(providing the price isnt absurdly high).

I feel as if we are pruning the samples, although they are still very useful.

It's laughable for anyone to be surprised over Ashes leaking to the internet, it's been on soulseek for weeks.

"i also found it a while ago reported it to hermank"

You can also report it to god, but the fact remains anyone who wants it will be able to download it easily.
