After listening Ashes for many times now, it realyl showed my first impression was merely an imperssion. The album grows deeper on me with each listening, although I still don't like The Wrecthed and I still think Cure is the best track.
Hope I'm allowed to change my opinion.

Well, after Illumination came out, I gave Ashes some more listenings (as you may all know I have been fairly disappointed with this album, even though I found it listenable, I just expected more) and noticed the track that really gives me shivers and that it's on repeat most of the time is Shadowman. I guess it's the obscure feeling it captures and the slight touch of surrealism that makes this song so special. On the contrary of my first impressions, I now find Cure one of more blank songs on Ashes.
And I still very much dislike The Wretched.
