I discovered Tristania with Heretique, the first times I heard Heretique I liked it but now it is the song that I like less on BTV.

Yeah, Morten says the following:
"Es gibt keinen Gott, Es gibt kein Leben. Sie werden alle sterben, Ohne die Erlösung."
Translated its the following:
"There is no God, There is no Life They'll all die, Without Salvation."
By the way, i love that one really...

Heretique is rather dull in my opinion. I don't like the way the vocals were structured. J.K. Barkved is the only positive thing I can think of. And the lyrics? *yawn*
It represents the album's low point for me. But just my $0.02.

Hertique was the 2nd song i heard for tristania, it has a certain magic to it, but when compared to the other songs, its rather insignificant

Yeah its nice, but there are better tracs on that album. I like the male choir, though.

Well I think "Heretique" is a good song, not the best, but very characteristic. I like it preatty much, besides with BTV it's one of the first gothic tracks i listend to and those track actualy beginned my fastination with Tristania...

Heretique was one of the first songs I got to know fron Tristania.... and I still love it, because it's different from other because of simple(?) combination between the male choir and Veland's deadly great growls.... My favourite line: orgasmic mass hysteria. i don't know why, but this song seems mystical to me, .... same as Opus Relnique....

Of course, one of my favorite Tristania songs.. I like it because it is different and has harder metal (black and death) influences. like the lyrics!!! And video.

Still be of the opinion that "Hérétique" is the weakest songs on BTW. Cause it sounds like power metal and does not possess that Black / Doom Metal touch like the other songs

I think it is some viing-black influence (blast beat + Jan Kenneth Barkved), not power in this song.
