RUBICON- 6th Album
« on: 03 February 2010, 12:05:09 »
I apply for the new forum called something like new album 2010, then we can just change the name of it, but I think we have already a lot to discuss there :)

We already know some facts:

    Name: RUBICON

          Year of the Rat
          The Emerald Piper
          Sirens
          Images
          Magical Fix
          Exile
          Illumination
          Vulture
    Status: Recording

    Lineup:

          Mariangela Demurtas - Vocals
Østen Bergøy - Vocals & Lyrics
Anders Høyvik Hidle - Guitars, Vocals & Composition
Ole Vistnes - Bass, Vocals & Composition
Einar Moen - Snyth, Programming & Composition
          Tarald Lie - Drums

              Kjetil Nordhus- guest Vocals

Personally I wouldn't want the forum's name to change, The Illuminated is great  :D
You know you listen to too much music when you start measuring time in "songs" instead of minutes...

No! I didn't mean the main forum, just a new subforum for the next album ;)

Ahhh! Sorry, my mistake! But I think there's a problem with creating a new subforum and then change its name: the web links created under the "New Album 2010" name won't work after changing the subforum's name. Example: the link to this topic is   http://theilluminated.net/cross-album-discussions/6th-album-2593/  . One can copy and paste it anywhere to direct to this topic. Now, if we changed the subforum name "Cross-album discussions" to, let's say, "Discography discussions", the new link for this topic could be:   http://theilluminated.net/discography-discussions/6th-album-2593/   and any links posted under the "Cross-album discussions" would become useless, because the "/cross-album-discussions" directory doesn't exist anymore.
Maybe I'm wrong, but at least I think it works that way, so we should better wait until the new album's name is revealed so we have a permanent name for the subforum  ;)

There's a Patriot Games sample on their Twitter! We've heard it before, but it sounds better, I think.

On this Sunday is the last day of the recordings in the studio. Mariangela is already done with her vocal parts. And here you are, some words from Kjetil:

Quote
Right now I'm in between two sessions with Tristania. For the vocal sessions we use a nice studio in Oslo and I did some recording last Tuesday and Wednesday. After a few days back home in Kristiansand, I'll go to Oslo again this weekend to finish off my parts on a record that I am sure will surprise a few people around the world. I've said it all the time, that for every record I do, I will have to do even better than the previous one. On the new Tristania album I think that's the case for all of the band members. We've set the technical level very high, and we all have to strive to be on top of the new songs. I was extremely happy with my first two days, and I'll go through whatever it takes to use the last few days in the best possible way so I can pat myself on the back afterwards, and be sure I've never done a better album vocal wise.
