I've been listening to their albums since six years, I think. The first time I saw them, but did not know them, was when they played with Lacrimosa at the Vooruit in Ghent (1998, I think), Belgium. Then I let it rest for about two years, I think, and decided to 'lend' my sister's WW album, which got me hooked.

I honestly can't quite remember. It's been around two and a half years. The first things I heard were Evenfall, Angellore and a couple songs from BTV but I didn't like them when I first heard them. It took a couple months before their sound grew on me and I got ahold of their discography.

About 2 months, maybe not even >.> I knew about them since one of the other members on another forum I was on was all "VIBEKE IS SO HOT", and I had Pale Enchantress on my computer forever, but then I previewed Widow's Weeds and I fell in love. I bought Ashes, Widow's Weeds, Beyond the Veil, and World of Glass off iTunes and I had to download Midwintertears - Angina because I ran out of credit >.> My local cd stores would have taken weeks to get the albums in on order anyway since they don't normally carry Tristania. <_<

I first listened to them in May 2006. The very first song I heard by them was Evenfall. Then I started to listen to other songs off of Widows Weeds, and then I heard songs off of all their other albums. It took me awhile though to get used to all the growls in the first two albums but after I did I fell in love.

Since October 2004, when I heard that they were supporting Nightwish in London - a gig I was going to. I went out and bought Widows Weeds, Beyond the Veil and World of Glass. I was hooked. I thought (and still think) that BTV was one of the best albums ever.
