This is really embarrassing, but can you point out a time where Anders growls? I can never signify him out from the others.   :(

And if you get the Midwinter Tears CD/DVD you even get visuals to further help B)

I saw the video to Libre the first time I heard the song and I'm not sure if that influenced me but I loved the song from that point on :)

Morten forever. I liked Kjetil also, but there's smth about Morten's voice... Kjetil's vox are more agressive and Morten's a bit more subtile and gothic-like-agressive-and-soothing  ;D

But TBH, I think the best growls Tristania ever had was Ronny Thorsen's on World of Glass. He just fit in the best, just listen to Wormwood for example... Loved it!

I like both, I think Morten wouldn't be as good as Kjetil on Ashes' songs and Kjetil wouldn't fit on WW's or BTV's songs.
But if I must choose one, i choose Kjetil, he has a very energetic voice. I think that songs like Libre, Circus or The Wretched aren't the same without him (although i know many people will say that anyways they aren't the same without Vibeke).
Just listen to Kjetil's voice on these verses from Circus:

"I am your bagful of fear
I'll commit, I'll admit
I'll be the dagger! DAGGER YEAAAAAHHHHH!!!"

That's epic!
Too bad he left the band :S

BTW i also love Ronny Thorsen's vocals, they fit WOG very well. He's one of the reasons why i'm also a Trail Of Tears fan :P

I prefer Morten, even though Kjetil is amazing.
I just love Morten's growling, especially on BtV. I love the layering of a low growl and death screams...especially on ...Of Ruins And A Red Nightfall. Plus, my fave Tristania albums are BtV and Widow's Weeds. Both of them are so gothic and beautiful
Kjetil on Ashes has more of a death/doom sound that is so amazing in a different way. I love it all!!!

I wasn't into growling, not at all, before I became a fan of Tristania. Of all the people who provided harsh vocals for the band, I like Ronnie Thorsen the most. Too bad he's only on one album, but... what an album!

I like his delivery especially on Selling Out which is the most perfect example of Tristania's balance of three vocal styles which isn't present on any other album. On the first 2 albums, Morten drowns out everything and everyone with his harsh vocals and that can be a bit boring at times (Vibeke was but a backing vocalist and Østen was only on 4 songs in 2 albums... 'nuff said!) On Ashes, there were already a few songs without growls (the even numbered ones) - and what's the use in having a dedicated vocalist if you're not using him?

I like the way Anders is progressing in regards to his vocals, though there wasn't a song since Ashes where growling wasn't just an "addition" to the song rather than an integral part of it.
