Beyond the Veil, Widow's Weeds, World of Glass...

Beyond the Veil has always been and always be my fave Tristania work, closely followed by Widow's Weed, both such amazing, intense, delicate works... World Of Glass comes third, I really like the album, but the difference is that I was encanted by BTV and WW immediatly, while I needed some more time to get hooked on all songs on WoG....

Widow's Weeds impressed me a lot, without any doubt:the best work of Tristania.
My ranking is:
1-Widow's Weeds
2-Beyond the Veil
3-World of Glass, although,I really don't like this album! Roll Eyes

My ranking is as follows:

1) Widow's Weeds

2) Beyond The Veil

3) World Of Glass

WW, to me, is all that a music release should be. Certainly it defines the essence of Tristania. It may not be quite as musically and lyrically diverse and complex as its successors, but it is truly beautiful, dark, and evocative....

world of glass > beyond the veil > widow's weeds

world of glass was perfect for me, those chorus and letters, and Selling ouuuut!!! I mean, it's my favourite song ever!! it was just, the most beautiful album I've ever bought.
and of course there is beyond the veil, an amazing album but not better than world of glass for me. And widow's weeds is just as good as beyong, midwintertears is a master piece.

BtV
WW
WoG

Thats my choice. I love BtV cause it was first Tristania album I've heard. It's still one of the greatest things I've heard in my entire life Smiley  It has everything that gothic metal album should have - beautiful, magical lyrics, melodies, sound of instruments... But this you all know for sure Wink

WW has its magic, but is bit boring in some moments and not so worked out; smth like foreword to BtV. But I can't deny magic of this album. I'm just bit unconvinced; it'll always be my #2 Smiley

WoG hasn't magic for me Tongue  (yes, I'm kind of Tristania-conservatist Tongue ). Maybe Tender Trip has something that i like. It reminds me very sad moments and for this I like it.

My favourite order of these would be: World Of Glass / Beyond The Veil / Widows Weeds

There are some very powerful songs from each album BUT World Of Glass holds the most magic overall for me Smiley

Such a difficult question! My personal favourite is World Of Glass, but all the albums have their own "magic", in my opinion... Smiley

...because I posted this poll 6 years ago Cheesy
Would be very interesting to have a similar poll after the upcoming release, although the number of permutations would be a bit unwieldy..  Tongue

That would be World of Glass for me. It has that pure mytery and magic in it that I love very much. And World of Glass (song) totally hooked me to Tristania.
