I don't know, I never skip it when I listen to Rubicon, but it's definitely not a favourite either. It's over-the-top, but since when was Tristania known for subtlety? Remember in Angellore when they went "Into the night strays and ANGEL, so lost and tearful all astray..."
? I just view the male "choir" vocals in the beginning and the silly verses and chorus as just that: silly. I don't think it's beyond any parameters set by the previous albums. I'd also rather have them make a hit-and-miss album, rather than a boring album.
The songs carrying the album in my opinion are Protection, Exile
, Sirens and Amnesia.
