@Midnatt)O(Trollkvinne: Heheheh I was not saying those influences were exclusive for Spanish, I just meant they can variate in quantity and intensity, that's why I mentioned adstrate languages, etc. Latin, as MANY of the old languages are full of influences of previous languages spoken in near areas, I remember that in a Latin class in my school the teacher explained the origin of "&" from "et" forwards, and also words like "sea" from the ancient Indian languages (that teacher has a PhD in dead languages, he's a walking dictionary lol) so, yes, you're right, even Latin has its roots. Scientific terms are often Greek or Latin, that has got a historical/anthropological explanation, but that's not the matter here.

I do not have a degree in ancient languages but I see Latin much as English is today and that vulgar Latin must have been a language of trade and communication between different cultures in the Roman Empire. Probably much as today English is the language of business and trade and used for communication between different cultures in a multicultural, globalized world.

I do not know anything of old Indian languages but believe you are right in saying that they influenced Latin. Is this where the term Indo-European languages come from?

I think it is Indo-European because the first wave that came from Africa's first populations populated Europe and India with Mid-East so they're both the first places outside of Africa that were populated. Also there has always been an interaction between both, specially commercially and politically. Think of the Egyptians, the Greeks and the Mesopotamian, they all have some big similarities. Another example of this would be the similarities between the tribes from Oceania and the native Americans from South America, those were the last important waves of population.

[...]Is this where the term Indo-European languages come from?

Indo-European are Celtic, Latin, Germanic, Slavic, Greek, Indian, proto-Iranian etc... and they all descend from the "proto-Indo-European" language from the Bronze Age. Their speakers share alot of similarities: polytheism (many gods in their mythologies) for example, which is unlike the Semitic/Hebrew group who worshipped one god exclusively.

But I digress :) I'm gonna order tickets to see Ensiferum, Enslaved and Katatonia (with Alcest opening)!! :D :D

EDIT: one of the pics I saw on Wikipedia. It says alot more than what I could :P

Подобная ситуация, как в то время когда я в армии служил. Должен быть уволен в тот день когда находился на службе. Согласно устава я ещё не уволен, относительно человечность уволен в 1999 году. Не вероятная ситуация.
