Shades of a Lost Moon - Demo 1995-1996
In Glorious Victory - Promo 1997
The Closed Eyes of Paradise - Demo 1999
Frozen Features - Promo 2000
Dark Oceans We Cry - Demo 2002

Albums:
Where Lovers Mourn - Debut album 2003
Arcane Rain Fell - Album 2005

 ;)

The Black Halo isn`t a regular album, it has 3 new songs (She Dies, Through Infectious Waters (A Sickness Elegy), The Dying)  and 3 re-recorded songs + 2 covers.

and some bad news:

Quote
The recently announced European tour with DRACONIAN and BATTLELORE has been cancelled due to booking- and financial problems.

Please, note that DRACONIAN nor BATTLELORE has nothing to do with the cancellation. The band is deeply sorry about all the disappointment this news brings.

I`d say it mostly depends from your personal taste, which album someone prefers, but musically Arcane Rain Fell no doubt surpasses the debut album. The 3 new songs from the latest release are also confirming that we can expect much more from this band in future too...

I actually agree with Daisy.       Even if the material was far superior to their previous works(which it wasnt but still great), I must say the fact that the album consists of old demo and a couple new songs and cover does affect my decision of calling it their best since its more of a half album/compilation really.  But its still much more tastefully done than Sirenian Shores!   ;)

I prefer Arcane Rain Fell as well.   To me, Where Lovers Mourn was mostly great with a few songwriting issues mixed with some stunning sections.

I don't understand why people are talking about the 3 re-recorded demos on The Burning Halo, while the previous 2 albums consisted of more than 3 demos.
-Where Lovers Mourn - about 5 demos
-Arcane Rain Fell - 1 demo (not sure)
So The Burning Halo is normal album and not a "compilation",

I dare to say, that these demos are like new songs cause the earlier works of Draconian weren't relased...

The band itself states that The burning halo should not considered as regular album, and not as successor of Arcane Rain Fell.

Napalm nearly always ships before the official release date.. :)

From the booklet:
"The Burning Halo is intended as a bonus offering and is not the actual successor to Arcane Rain Fell. The motivatio for this special relase is to present the Draconian sound, past and present, as a whole with a honest face. It begins with three dismal and doomy sounding tracks of brand new material in the vein as teh previous album, followed by another trilogy of songs taken from the never officially released demo The closed Eyes of Paradise (1999) - here now in a new and improved versions. These tracks show the more darkly romantic and gothic elevation of the Draconian sound - and with the encouragement of our great fans - we decided to bring them back to life. We close the album with covers from two noteworthy sources of inspiration from the early seventies"
