By the way, does anybody know if there's a chance that Nuclear Blast releases The Phantom Agony and Consign to Oblivion? It is horrible how they haven't been released for more than 10 years and they're already out of print :o

I agree! I was hoping to buy it from a stand at their concert when I saw them last year, but no CDs were sold.  :-\

After a great lot of listens, I finally came to like the new album. Most of the songs sound similar for the first time, but if you listen it more often, you'll find new details everywhere. That's weird somehow and makes it really hard to set Requiem for the Indifferent on a same level with Design Your Universe, but I think it's like with good games: A high grade of details will make you want to play the game over and over again, and that without getting bored (I could have said that more ... it would sound better in German. Wow, I'm pretty out of practise writing English).

I also like the more progressive direction Epica are taking. "Deter the Tyrant" is a real masterpiece, imo. Love the guitar work.

Have just finished a transcription (Guitar Pro file) of the guitar on Deter the Tyrant with a friend from the Epica forum.  And then I added some orchestration to it.  Hopefully he'll be able to upload it soon ...
