I prefer Lacuna Coil in smaller doses.  If I listened to them daily I would probably get a bit tired of them.  I almost feel ashamed to say that Comalies is my favorite album from them.  It seemed(at least to me), that the album was their big push into attempting to achieve more mainstream success.

Hmm, interesting.

Anyway, I've been a Lacuna Coil super fan for over three years (has it really been that long?   ). There is something about them that is quite enthralling; perhaps it's their ability to create such a unique atmosphere that only true talent can conjure. Well, whatever it is, it has kept themselves in a dead heat for my favorite band of all time (shared by Tristania, of course).

In A Reverie, followed by Unleashed Memories, are my favorite offerings from this Italian six-piece. Comalies, ultimately, is the worst Lacuna Coil album, but their "worst" is still quite excellent, just a wee bit boring. The Lacuna Coil EP needs to be redone, because I feel that their are some great tunes on there, but poorly performed.

Favorite songs by album:

Comalies- "Heaven's A Lie", "Daylight Dancer", "Angel's Punishment"
Unleashed Memories- "Heir of A Dying Day", "Senzafine", "1:19", "Distant Sun"
Halflife EP- "Hyperfast", "Trance Awake"
In A Reverie- "Stately Lover", "Cold", "Veins of Glass"
Lacuna Coil EP- "Soul Into Hades", "No Need To Explain", "Falling"

I've hear Lacuna Coil at last Gods Of Metal in Bologna...Cristina Scabbia was the only good one! The male singer finished his voice from the second song...the other memebres of the band didn't have a good performance whit instruments...I don't like them so much...and now worst than before!
They recieved from the crowd some bottles...full of water! Cristina gets hungry and she said: "I understand that you don't like our music but don't launch us bottles!"......then, she screamed: "And now do you want to hear one of the song from our brand new album?" and ALL the crowd: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" ...       ...but however they performed it!

I like Lacuna Coil, they're a very nice band. I have three of their CDs [In a Reverie, Unlashed Memories and Comalies], and these CDs are very good. All.

My favorites songs are:

Comalies: Swamped, Heaven's a lie, Daylight Dancer, The Ghost Woman and the Hunter, Comalies and Angel's Punishment

In a Reverie: Falling Again, Circle... I like the others but I don't remember the names ;)

Unlashed Memories: Senzafine... And a lot of other songs ^^

yes, is not the right way to behave, but, live performances of Lacuna Coil are QUITE TERRIBLE!!!
Only Cristina Scabbia is a good singer, but the other band members.....they suck!!!
If italian don't apreciate them, i think it's because they performed often in America and other countries than in Italy, and also why italian likes very good music instead! Sorry if i'm so evil with Lacuna Coil, sorry for the fans that stay here...i really unlike them!

loooong time ago i kinda liked them too but now... i'm into another kind of metal... well however, i planned to see them on summe rbreeze, but i was standing in line for the tristania signing session(which was the better choice imo). but i heard that they asked twice before they started playing a new song from their upcoming album...seems like gods of metal made them think...

I hava the Comalies album, but I never considered them very special...Their music is somehow too...I don't know...simple and catchy for me, it can't really touch me. I prefer  more complex Gothic Metal with more complicated song structures. Maybe it's also just the melodies that don't appeal to me that much....Christina's voice is ok, but nothing special either.
