Alright. Impressive performance by Leaves' Eyes, and I actually liked Alexander's vocals, and he was going nuts with the crowd and did a little stage diving and crowd surfing. He's so tall and big, poor people lifting him! Big kudos for him and Liv to stay around for autographs after they finished playing, she is such a nice girl and he's a funny dude :) (BTW, how do I get autographs on tshirts not to get washed out? :( )

BG... Sounded good... for 2 songs. I didn't get into it. His vocals were great, that much I can say, but to me it seemed like the song selection looked like the same 2 songs over and over until And Then There Was Silence (which they butchered, i guess it's a hard one to do live).

I love LE! I like Liv's work in LE better than I do in ToT...her voice is airy and delicate!

Honestly, though, I don't claim LE as metal at all

Yeah, but the growls fit really well... they're not overshadowing Liv's voice or the music.

I like LE :)

I agree with unprettyprincess and lordhong, I love Liv's delicate voice, and Alexander's growls work so well with it :)

Didn't get to see them live, though I DID see Atrocity. Alexander did go on a bit, but he's a funny guy, so it's ok

True,he's very theatric.
their voices worked well together altohugh I must admit Liv's vocals drowned out Alex's.
She's been developing her soprano. :)

Wow, great cover. I didn't like their last album so much, so I wonder how the new one will sound like. At least I hope the bassist player (don't remember her name) will have more work to do than on Njord ;D

The concept of Leaves' Eyes haven't changed, as far as I can see it. Maybe that could get boring with all those Viking themes. I fear it.

I came to really enjoy Leaves' Eyes. Liv's voice is soothing and refreshing and the songs are very atmospheric. I love Njord, Elegy, and Scarborough Fair especially...oh! and Lovelorn!

I've listened to the first excerpt, "Velvet Heart" - and ended up loving it! The melody is in my head for days now, and I just can't get rid of it... that means a lot in my case, cause I'm a real music junkie and listen music all the time :)

hey nobody seems to be interested in meredead. why no replies? and also i'm having a hard time googling some reviews for meredead and it's weird because usually google knows everything. haha...

anyway i listened to it. like it better than njord, but a bit sad because i can't sing them, not even to myself. i don't get it why it has to be old english. the folk songs are nice even though again i cant understand them. the old english songs and the norwegian folk songs are more interesting than the english songs on the album, imho. :)

Oh, I'm interested, but I've had no time to write something ^^

I don't own the album (-> no money :(), but I listened to it on Youtube.
There is a bunch of reviews in German - maybe all the others are too lazy to give feedback to the album? ^^ Most of them are good or at least average, depends on who wrote it.

My favourites so far are Spirits Masquerade, Sigrlinn and Tell-Tale Eyes.
Overall, I like Meredead a great deal more than Njord, altough I still miss some hard bass lines and the improvement of Liv's voice. It's just too thin to make something special out of it. Just my opinion.

Out of the album Legend Land and some songs on Meredead ( I did not like To France at all and I found Spirits Masquerade to be very repetitive), I like their music. I especially liked Lovelorn, Vinland Saga and Njord and the three songs in Nynorsk on Meredead.
