No, I didn't go although I was registered. I went to Amsterdam with a friend who wasn't registered, so we went to see some of the city that day.

At the mercendise corner we could choose any shirt they had for the package, but I guess if you order it it's going to be this shirt.

It's not excactly a deal where you save some money. They were selling the shirts for 25 each. You can probably get the DVD for 20 once it's released. There's 5 left for the signed concert photo. If you don't like the shirt I recommend you to wait and just buy the DVD.

I just fear they sell it without bonus DVD.. my only motivation to buy this... but 30 for a bonus DVD is really too much..

I think A Sound Of Relief will be regularly a 2DVD, one disc for the concert and the other the extras, like video clips and probably some more live footage. Maybe the price will be 25 then.

I have only Mandylion...sounds are quite lovely...but not at all! I like Anneke's voice...she reminds me arabian singing style...

Ive been a huge fan of The Gathering for years.. My favourite albums has to be Souvenirs !! :
- These Good People
- Broken Glass
- Monsters
Them 3 tracks have to be 3 of the most impressive/beautiful tracks ever written.. real deep, heartfelt music and Annekes voice is just wow. They are an incredibly talented group and they deserve success and popularity. Sleepy Buildings is a good record also.. i like Locked Away but Red Is A Slow Colour will always be one of my all time fave tracks. (after the tracks from Souvenirs :) )

Today I bought Sound Of Relief. I have to say that I the last their album I heard was If_Then_Else.
First impression - good show. Now I haven't got time and thoughts in bulk)), so I will write here later about my emotions and impressions.

Preview of Home, their forthcoming album:

(promo mp3 from the record company)

IMHO, they seem to be moving further and further from the metal sound to a more gothic rock / darkwave sound. Not a bad thing in itself, the song is interesting and a good follow-up to Souvenirs, at least that's what I think ;)

yeah... but harder guitars would fit well in that song imho... I always wait for a guitar explosion in the two new songs I already know... :)

I can't say that I'm overly impressed with the song, but it's sparked a  whole new The Gathering craze, so it must be doing something right!
