I don't think this review has been posted yet, it's from the British magazine Kerrang (they are pretty harsh with Illumination IMO, personally I think it's a great album). Here is the review:

"
Norwegian symphonic goth metallers miss the point" (2 stars/K out of 5)
Impressing many on their 2005 tour with Nightwish, Norway's Tristania were in the perfect position to jump their career into hyperspace. New album "Illumination" continues their melodramatic, metal-rooted style and maintains the light and shade female/male vocals. All the same, it's an album miserable enough to deter all but the hardest of goth ears. The real killer, though, is that the material's not much good. It doesn't matter if you're punk or technical metal - if your songs aren't working, your album won't. "Lotus" and "Sanguine Sky" succeed in bringing out their best, but it's maudlin and tuneless elsewhere and definetely not the album Tristania needed to make."
Download: "Mercyside".
