If any brazilian went to a concert please post a review, the setlist, how many time did they play please I gotta know.

Well, I didn't go yet... the concert in my town will be on Wednesday... but my girlfriend went on the Belo Horizonte concert last night
There was a terrible incident there, when a guy climb up the stage and kissed Vibeke in her face...
Because of this, Tristania played two songs less on this concert.
She told me it was great despise the sadly incident, and I hope the rest of the gig don't suffer because of one disturbed guy.
It's a shame for Brazil, unfortunately
I want to apologize in name of all brazilian fans for Tristania.
We certanly love you, but there is no words to suplice that...

That incident was simply appaling. I hated it. I want that idiot to burn alive tied to a stake.
Sure, I'd like to be close to Vibeke at least once, but like that... that was just stupid.
Anyway, any ideas on what songs they were going to play if that guy didn't jump on the stage?

And, I do hope they come back to Brazil after this tour, specially to Belo Horizonte, but on a show of their own. Like, 3 hours or more of pure Tristania. That'd be wonderful. More goths and less metal-heads anyway, which is always a plus.

My girlfriend told me they didn't play Equilibrium and Cure...
These two songs were in the european set list and, I think, in the Nowegian Tour as well...
I think these were the two songs missed on the BH concert...

Damn... so that's why my friend from Curitiba asked me if they'd played Equilibrium.
I swear that if I ever see that... prototype of a person... I'll give him a thrashing, and rip an internal organ or two out of him.

Well, it was mentioned before, but very vaguely, so I'm stepping in to tell what I saw. The band were playing Aphelion and at the beginning of the last intermezzo, a guy probably saw a breach in stage security, jumped the isolation fence and climbed the left side of the stage, where from he ran toward Vibeke, grabbed her, almost brought her down, and then turned to the pit and cheered. For me, the kissing story is bullsh*t. Only then did the security take care of him. Right there, I could not believe it had happened.

Vibeke was clearly distressed but her immediate reaction after having a drink of water near the drums was to return to the mic and keep singing. She couldn't, though, because of the shock and loss of concentration and thus left the stage. Kjetil then managed to calm the audience down and to keep the band going on. (He was great that night!) Near the end ("wan circling skies...") Vibeke rushed back into stage and sang the rest of Aphelion with a flawless voice.

I was expecting the show to end right there, but Tristania played two other pieces before leaving. I don't think they skipped Equilibrium and Cure because of the incident: when Angellore finished, the show was some 10 minutes over the promised one hour (they were not headlining the night). Also, those songs are usually played in the middle of the act, not in the end.

When Kreator came on -- only then -- there was a huge man on each side of the stage. Their show was very nice and went without any problems. That is (how I saw) it.

I am utterly impressed by Tristania's live performance and now even more by their professionalism. I hope Vibeke and the others never have to face again such a disgusting display of underdevelopped emotions from a (so called) fan and that the rest of their south-american tour proceeds in peace.

To the band I cannot offer more than my apologies for the incident and my praise for their amazing act.

Thank you very much for telling this. I'm really sorry for what happened. I heared some rumors that Taria of Nightwish also was attacked by such an idiot...
The shock maybe was even bigger, because since the Dimebag's Tragedy a lot of musicians feel sometimes not secure when some fans are upon stage
I think we all should pay a great tribute and respect for Vibeke...

The bands are right to fear fans on stage. We were lucky that last friday's commotion was caused by a plain stupid person, not a mentally disturbed one, and that everyone was searched for dangerous objects before entering the venue. Nevertheless, we're to blame the local organization. The breach on the left side was probably because all security was moved in a hurry to the front of the stage, where people were being pressed against the isolation fences. It was up to Kjetil to solve the issue, asking people in the pit to calm down. I also believe it was not a good idea to bring both Tristania and Kreator to the same stage in the same night. Both are wonderful bands, but have very different moods.

As for Nightwish, the last gig was indeed a very peaceful one (at least in my city). However, during a gig of the Century Child tour people were throwing letters, plush toys and the such onto the stage and someone threw a shirt that hit Tarja on the face. She was upset, but the show went on. I have the impression that she now hates my city! :-)

The saddest thing is that because of a single jerk many of us honest fans will have to face the disappointment of having less and less live performances of the bands we like because they're being scared away by events that do not represent our feelings toward them. I only wish that the band do understand that what happened (although disgusting) was merely incidental, not a standard.

Tightening security on such shows will probably avoid those kind of incidents. But I think it would lessen the concert experience. When they headline in Europe they used to play small venues. I can't remember seeing any security at all on the Tristania headlining shows I visited. I really like the intimate atmosphere when you can be right in front of the stage without a trench for the security guards inbetween you and the band. There never was such an incident on any concert I've been to.
I think it's sad that something like that happened. It's even more sad what happened to Dimebag. Maybe in the future bands will perform in bulletproof plexiglass cages.
I hope Vibeke gets over it without having a grudge on the city where it happened. The world is full of mad people.

yeah we have mad people everywhere, fortunately in mexico that kind of things don't happen, here the security is very tight, the only thing that happened was in Dimmu Borgir when a guy fell and had an injury in his head.
Going back to the live perfonmances
Can anyone write the setlist and also one question, was Einar there??? if not, they used samples or used another guy??

No. Einar was not here (I think he's not touring) and they used samples instead. As for the setlist, it's the same Emperor_Konny posted here, but was short of Cure and Angina, due to time constraints.

Totally agreed. Small gigs are really rewarding and synergetic. I would love to watch such intimate shows of my favorite bands (most of them european), particularly the charismatic Tristania. Since people there seem to be usually more educated or well behaved at least, it's no surprise that the bands are unafraid to have their fans close and level to them. Lucky you! Lucky you!

However, when they come to e.g. South America it's only for a short time and the concerts are very few, thus taking place at big venues for promoters to have any profit. A concert house crowded with 3000+ people must have reinforced security, simply because of mass behavior. Not only the performers might be endangered, but the audience too. And in an attempt to secure both, our local organization failed to achieve any security at all.

The world might be filled with mad people, but proper organization should null the effect of mad people. My city in particular is cursed with amateur event organization, and I wouldn't think it to be unfair if not only Tristania but also other artists develop an aversion to come by.

Probably on Sunday I'll post here a review of the concert and the setlist...
Let's hope that incident don't compromise the rest of the gig and Tristania could feel the Brazilian's apologies...

i was in Belo Horizonte and i got so shocked with that thing that @$$hole did!
many people said that the gig was shorter because of that. I would kie to know if Tristania really playes Cure and Equilibrium( my 2 favorite songs from Ashes) in other brazilian cities... if they did, let´s bein a huntdown...

The São Paulo's gig in march 19th had only one hour, as foreseen by the press. I can't remember the setlist, but the show was GREAT!
