Ha, I had forgotten this forum even still existed! until I received a birthday message from here (on my other email which I hardly ever check).

Mariangela was looking particularly beautiful in the last pics with Yossi Sassi!

And Mary was way shorter than I expected, and really beautiful! :)

How did you not notice both of those things before? ;)
Thanks for the report and pics.
And nice Opeth t-shirt!

Haha, I know! I don't want to be a complete fanboy here, but Mary is one of the most beautiful women I've seen in real life. No joke. Pictures don't really do her justice. Regarding your last line, I would have wore a Tristania t-shirt, but they did not sell any Tristania merch that I could find. But thanks :-)
Cool  :)
I agree with you about Mary (I still wanna call her Mariangela because that sounds more exotic and Mary sounds like a normal English name).  I have a few pictures with her but she looks way better than me in all of them :)

Not quite drunk but drinking Primator Czech beer and Palacio del Conde Spanish red wine and eating Phileas Fogg Louisiana Sweet & Smokey BBQ American style bubble chips.  Just watched Oberyn have his head squished by the Mountain :'(

I spoke to Gyri at the London show.  She was talking about the Moscow gig which they had just got the offer for, I think at quite short notice, she had already planned a (big?) Christmas party around that time!

Night on Earth guitar tab, including vocal lines and harmony in the chorus ;)

^I realized the same! All of the songs have "only" two out of the three vocals (not counting the male backing ones) or one (Cathedral and Cypher).

Not quite, Number has the quiet (½) chorus from Kjetil as well as the main vocals from Anders and Mariangela.

My favourites are Number, Darkest White, Himmelfall and Night on Earth.
Diagnosis could join them if the whole song was as good as the start - I love Mariangela's vocals there, reminds me of Anneke on early The Gathering, and the short chorus is good too - but I'm not so fond of the middle section.  The doomy outro with intertwining guitars is cool though.

Phileas Fogg Indonesian Crackers - aromatic spices and sweet chilli flavour - and drinking G.G.  That's a wine, the code is for Grenache Gris, something rather rare ...

Sirenia - Stille Kom Døden.

Sirenia is back! Hey everybody do yourself a favor and listen to their new album, it's almost as good as their 2 first ones. It has its fillers (the bonus tracks + a couple of songs) but overall it has plenty of killer tracks ;)

Yeah, been listening to this a bit.  It's really good, Seven Widows Weep and the epic Stille Kom Døden are the highlights, but the whole album is solid for me, except for the bonus tracks which are disposable.  I'm liking Cold Caress and Darkling a lot too at the moment.
Then again, I'm not too familiar with the earliest stuff, and I only started liking the band with the addition of Ailyn.  I like her voice, and Nine Destinies and a Downfall is kinda 'gothic pop metal' in a bad way, whereas The 13th Floor and The Enigma of Life are the same, but in a good way!

Darkest White / Re: New album 2013
« on: 25 January 2013, 19:54:12 »

Tristania has today confirmed that the producer on their seventh album will be Christer André Cederberg.

Already having started the recording process for their upcoming album, to be released through Napalm Records in May 2013, the band is delighted to confirm Cederberg as their producer.

This was agreed a while ago, and we started the working together already at the pre-production stage. We already know this will be fruitful and we’re extremely eager to show people the finished article. It feels good to share this piece of news with our fans, singer Kjetil Nordhus says.

Tristania fans may be familiar with Cederberg’s work through the most recent collaboration with Anathema on their award winning album “Weather Systems” (2012).

Also a guitarist, Cederberg started his metal career with Norwegian avant garde extreme metal band In the Woods… in the late 90s, and has been involved in numerous bands and projects, including his own solo project Stille Opprør and internationally acclaimed Animal Alpha.

Christer André reveals that he’s been eager to work with Tristania for a while, and is excited about several aspects in the process they’re now in:

There is a huge amount of talent within each and every band member, and a number of possible variations to work on, not least vocally, which makes this a great challenge for me as a producer. My aim for the forthcoming album is to dig out the potential, make a heavier album than the previous one, more organic, detailed and refined, but also dirtier and more extreme. Tristania is a band that manage to do all this live, and we will be working together to recreate that energy and quality also on record.
