yes, i think Angina is a good song for a single! it's certainly the most catchy song on the album and among my favourites. it doesn't exactly represent Beyond the Veil though because it's quite varied, as only Tristania can compose, of course. actually there isn't a particular song that can represent the album... Angina is perfect as a single nonetheless because it gets on one's mind quite fast creating the need to get the whole album imediatly...

Hmm... Angina was surely not the worst idea, even if I dislike singles. And Tristania doesn't like this idea too nowadays it seems... what is really great imho.. Smiley

Angina was released before Beyond the Veil was out. So it was some kind of teaser for the album. It definitely made me look out for the album in 1999.

Oh ok.. sorry... but nevertheless it doesn't make sence to me... you can put new songs on compilation cds of magazines for example... which doesn't cost money...

They put the song Beyond the Veil on magazine CDs. That was also before the album was released, but after Angina's release. The pre-album single was probably Napalm's idea.

Angina was the first single because it was mixed first or so... or am I just wrong informed? The real single was actualy "Lethian River" because just that song was played in discos Smiley

Yes! it may just be me but i adore this song... I spent ages listening to it to learn the catchy little piano tune that plays in the background. Sandy, my guitarist thinks we should cover this - i agree Tongue We just need to get our violinist that we bring in to learn the parts...

anyway, I LOVE this song (got it on repeat right now Wink )

actually i do not think angina is representative for the whole btv album...and a single, previously relaesed to the album or released afterwards is unnecessary...only necesarry in pop business.

Hm, I like those prevoiusly realeased singles, they make the time of waiting for the new album shorter. And you usually got some nice bonus tracks.

To the question: Yes. IMO the most catchy and repetitive song on BTV and so best choice for a single.
Ok, maybe it wouldn't have sold worse if they'd chosen another song from BTV, because no song on the album is appropriate for radio stations and TV and things like that, so that it wouldn't have made any difference.
But, anyway, it would have been my choice, too.
