did anyone seem to notice that this song seems to say "goodbye, someone once held dear to my heart?"

i've worked on the lyrics because i wanted to translate into french, and i've found two differents versions of the lyrics (for some words) and a i think they both have some mistakes, so i've tried to find the real lyrics and here's what i heard :

"Beyond the pale horizon, I grieve in silence
Over dreams to my heart yet unregained"
instead of :
"Beyond the pale horizon, a greaven silence
Over dreams to my heart yet not remain"

"It's in her heart, the same Elysium from which"
instead of :
"It's in her heart, the same relation from which"

"Low as the pale horizon
Her veil is dyingness"
instead of
"Lo where's the pale horizon
Oh where is dyingness"

"Deep as the sea, wailing secrecies are buried in me"
instead of
"Deep as the sea, wailing secrecies are burning in me"

"I bequeath my sorrow and I regret to thee"
instead of
"I bequeth my sorrow and I regret to thee"

so the whole lyrics would be :

When summer's gone, flee my angel
Winterwinds they might lead you far away
Beyond the pale horizon, I grieve in silence
Over dreams to my heart yet unregained

[Vibeke] Oh please believe
It's in her eyes
[Vibeke] It is inside
It's in her heart, the same Elysium from which
I once lead astray

[Vibeke] Oh please believe
It's in her eyes
[Vibeke] It is inside
It's in her heart, the same delightful place
I once felt in you

Angellore revered at dusk
For thee I rose, now descend all alone
Rise for me, soothe my heart
So wide a sea, may I overcome

[Spoken] Into the night strays an angel
So lost and tearful on astray

Into the night strays an angel
So lost and tearful on astray
Low as the pale horizon
Her veil is dyingness
You reach for me beyond so wide a sea

[Vibeke] Oh please believe
It's in her eyes
[Vibeke] It is inside
It's in her heart, the same desire
I feel burning in me
[Vibeke] Oh please believe
It's in her eyes
[Vibeke] It is inside
It's in her heart, the same desire from
The empty pain within

Rise for me, soothe my heart
So wide a sea, may I overcome

[Vibeke] Deep as the sea, wailing secrecies are buried in me
For a dream I once desired
I bequeath my sorrow and I regret to thee
Cannot cross that wide a sea

Angellore revered at dusk
For thee I rose, now descend all alone
Rise for me, soothe my heart
So wide a sea, may I overcome

all of this make more sens to me, and because some words simply doesn't exist in english like "greaven" "bequeth", and "lo" is an old form of "look" in early modern english but tristania don't use such words from that period only the pronouns thou/thee/thy

of course i'm not sure of what i've found, so if someone want to correct it... Smiley

Into the night strays an angel
So lost and tearful on astray
Low as the pale horizon
Her veil is dyingness
You reach for me beyond so wide a sea

''Her veil is dying as
you reach for me...''

That makes more sense to me Smiley dyingness does not sound like a word Morten would use.
