My Lost Lenore Lyrics
« on: 13 November 2004, 03:34:03 »

Hello all, I´m new on the boards, thought I´ve been keeping an eye here from time to time.

I´ve search and asked for a so long time and I can´t find the whole My Lost Lenore lyrics... I mean, in the begining with the two voices (and later after the chorus), the voice whispering is wrote in the lyrics but... what about the operistic sung lyrics? What is she saying?

I´m going to cover this amazing song with my band, and it would be nice to know the whole lyrics, instead of just singing "aaa-eee-aa-iii-eee", you know... If someone may figure it out please... any help would be very appreciated.

I´ve take a look at the topic, and at the 8th post, but that part doesn´t appear  :( It appears only the whispered part, but no the sung one... may I am looking in the wrong place?

Here are the times where she sings the text I can´t find:

from 0.27 to 0.53

and

from 3.04 to 3.29

Thank you anyway. And thanks for the welcoming =)

It's sounds to me like 'nananana', but I guess it's latin and in that case:

Oh I see... I guessed something about latin too.

"Nanana" shall it be then.

You're doing quite fine. :)

But as far as I know the latin lyrics are unavailable.

Actually, I don't think it's Latin.

And this is why:

She says "Deep in sky forever"

- From 0.35 to 0.40
- From 3.12 to 3.15
- From 3.35 to 3.40

Also, I hears that she repeats 2-3 lines....

Altso, she says the words "every (then something on the letter n)", "lost the silence",

I think that it may be something like this:

"Every n*** ****, I have lost the silence
Every n*** ****, deep in sky forever"
(The words I'm not quite sure she says, is marked big)

And since it isn't Latin, it doesn't hurt to ask  ;)

My lost lenore...

Listening to the part over and over again (even with reduced speed, making Vibeke sound like an evil demon), I think it's more:

Every time ?? ??? ???? in silence
Every time ?? ??? in the sky forever

Vague guess: ?? ??? =  we move (second guess is "with you", but it sounds more like a "moo" than a "you")

The ?? are parts I'm uncertain of. The mysterious n-word as heard by Lore is clearly audible on half speed as a harsher sound, like a k, t, or p.

I think it's this right now :

Every ??, all I've lost is silence
Every ??, deep in sky forever

I still think that the second word is something on n... Narrow, narrowsy, or maybe narcosy? Could be something with night, it sounds like every naightofyou (every night of you?), or something with the narrow path...

I'm listening Lost Lenore live (from Widow's Tour) and i think that's not "Every.."
I'm sure that's latin word, something like "Exidago"

WE COVER THIS SONG AND USE

"EVERY NIGHT ALONE" IN THOSE BLANK SPACES. TAKING INTO ACCOUNT VIBEKE'S VIBRATO AND NORWEGIAN ACCENT this is as close as we'll get unless Vibs or Ander break down and give up the lyrics.

I figured out:
".................my lost desire
.................my (?) soul forever"

I think she sings at the beginning of the song:

Every night I mourn, my lost desire (heard mainly in the live version)
............................, leave the sun forever (??)

I hear distinctively "my lost desire", but I'm not sure about the others...

Solution! Go and study latin ;) than try to hear what they say, it will be much easy'er when you do that :)

Mmm, not quite, I've studied it but it doesn't help much :D
Moreover this part is not in Latin ;)

Umm... many time since I don´t look the topic. Thanks you all for all the work, I really appreciate it. I also figured out that it was not latin, and something about "my lost desire" and "forever", but nothing more.

So tomorrow morning I´ll take you lines and ideas and try to deduce something more. Anyway, that was a big help, though I was getting used to the "nanananana-nananaaa-nanana" of our singer =P

P.S.: yes I was Tearful Angel but I lost my password and so...
