Hm! Completing the game on "Ace" skill level? I am really impressed - it is quite hard, with the most enemies! I hope you will not regret your decision... (still, you can re-load your previous game). One small step away from limited savegames!

I see you have earned the highest possible score on level 1: Preludium!  It wasn't that hard - after all, the game story tells you about that Acolyte who was shot to death, so even if you can't backstab the first one, you can still grab the PCV and a good amount of bullets. It is good to know that in the wilderness, hidden areas are essentially found behind bushes.

I bet you are after the 100% completion of the game :) Well, it's not impossible - let's see if you can find every secret in the game....and perhaps some of the Easter Eggs :D

Damn, man, I keep on getting this PM25 error on level 2 (Ace) whenever one ground or wall element (I don't know which one) tries to appear on screen (as in, when I turn around to look at it) :(
Although I was able to reach the exit, I can't fully explore the level :(

(Yes, I'm after the 100% completion)

The game crashes with the joker error on level 2? That is odd....I have always played on either Ace or Top Ace skill levels countless times, and nothing have happened (opened every secret, collected everything I needed). So you say it crashes on Ace skill level, but it worked fine earlier. Interesting indeed.

Hm. Something must have been gone wrong when you have started a new game. If you can afford it, just start a new game, and it should work fine.

(or perhaps it was caused by the evil presence of Empress Diana, who wants to ruin your chances of rescuing poor Vibeke! It might be...ready your PCV, and fast!)

Also, you might have witnessed that Level 2: Perimeter have two different routes, so it's absolutely not necessary to stroll through an area, which might not consist and collectibles (for example, looking for secret pushwalls in the shrubbery is pointless, as natural "walls" can never be pushed). The great majority of secret areas is hidden in the buildings' walls, thus you don't need to check every bush in your way for a secret :) especially because the way through the forest is filled with tripmines. Gee, I should have make both routes equally balanced. Oh well...maybe next time :)

Now let's kill some of them Drones!  ;D

So I was right about the  "joker error", next time it was gone. Notably, this is the first occassion of the PM25 error appearing, taking into account how many people downloaded and play this game, so it is indeed extremely rare :)

As for the hidden Suomi in level 2: Perimeter - well, such is Ace difficulty!  ;D  South Side, however, will entirely repay you in every aspect. This is the zone the Annihilation Taskforce is going through - you will propably hear them. Unfortunately, they have already lost 4 of their men. Each Alliance member had powerful weapons, which might be still there at the place where they have found their ending. If you can get hold of them, the upcoming levels will be as easy as taking a piss....well, depending on the chosen difficulty level of course...but still, having powerful weapons earlier than "officially" you could pick'em up will give you great advantages, especially against the Drones.

Oh yea...the area of South side is filled with tripmines. Proceed with caution.

Unfortunately, they have already lost 4 of their men.
Oh, so THAT is what those corpses are!
Yes, I found the hidden weapon and the exit, yet I still need to search for more secrets (specially a way to get that Artifact of Invulnerabilty without blowing myself up :()

Nice work - you have already found some of Twirl's guys, lying dead! There are 20 more men remaining (when you reach the Gate, Twirl might even mention that he has already lost four men during the breakthrough) - looks like the Drones and tripmines have did their job. However, compared to Twirl, and his 23 chums, 4 casualties are mighty few.

To enter the rock lair, you have two options here - an easy one, which requires careful planning and finesse, and a much harder, which requires firepower (using the fallen Taskforce members' weapons makes it easier).

- The entrance is barricaded with tripmines, right? And there are Acolytes inside that small rock stronghold, right? Just get their attention, and then....hehehe  ;D

- There is a second Artifact of Invulnerability hidden in the park. Look for it near an angel statue at the monolith in the center. Watch out for detestable Drones. When you grab this Artifact, you'll need to scurry back to the fortress and the tripmines will harmlessly explode upon entering. Also don't worry if you do not receive any "you have found a secret" message first - you'll get it once you grab the 9mm clip near the fissure gate.

And remember - Twirl and his friends have picked off most attackers on their way (you can easily guess what route did they choose), but the sounds of the firefight lured more enemies nearby from the surroundings of the falanster, where they were scouting - especially Drones. Using your Stealth rifle, you can easily pick off the Drones - or Sabrine MK3. I don't recommend Knife fury, but it works nice against Acolytes in case of ammunition shortage.

I'll have to go with the second tactic: there are no enemies left on the level, I killed everybody, including those acolytes... Still, I didn't find such second Artifact of Invulnerability because I forgot to check that wall :-[

And level 3 is almost impossible for me! I can't find that last secret. Level 8 was so much easier :(
BTW, why are there 2 Blood keys on level 3? For speedrun puposes?

Level 3: Derelict has much easier secrets than the previous level :) Last time, I saw with my own two eyes that you have found all of them   ;D  Remember - to get the credit for a secret, you have to get the message! There is a two-way secret pair at level 3: Derelict, but still, you can get the secret from entering each ways :)
There is also a small secret area with three crowns near the small warren with the Drone shooting from behind the grate (this is where the destroyed coloumn hall is, and there is yet another secret area behind the cross). It is very easy to miss this secret.

And the two Blood keys? Well, at these first levels, I was quite merciful, and put some spare keys at hidden areas in case someone is running low on health, as the official Blood key is guarded by 3 Suicide Drones and 4 standard Drones, and it might be difficult to obtain it, even with a Suomi. So, to save some trouble for the players, I "accidentally" misplaced two more spare Blood keys here and there. At later levels, there might also be extra keys at hidden areas.

Very well done!!!

See - it's not impossible to discover ALL the secrets in the game, it all depends on your persistence. You know, I found out that it depends only the state of remaining ammunition and health when the player will start looking for secret areas...hehe  ;D

I've also put some "backdoors" into the game, which may whisper some of the locations of the secret areas. Several times during the game, Twirl will get within radio-communication with Einar Moen, and share his findings, including hidden areas. This might be valuable information for those who have problems with the Superdrone and the relentless Ultradrone.

"Y'betta start lookin' fer them secretz, m'friend Einar, those guyz won't fool 'round wit' ya!"  ;D

It is a brilliant strategy to consume the smaller soul-restoring items (wormwood, absinthe etc.) before going for the Artifacts, as you may never know what will happen to you at the next level. Some of the secret levels will also be unquestionably hard, and will have their own special rules - YES, Tristania3D has timed levels as well, just like I promised 5 or so years ago!

I would also mention that Tristania3D has a nice collection of hidden Easter Eggs as well - not necessarily secrets, but references to well-known things outside the game. If you keep a sharp lookout for any "unusual" things, you might stumble upon them... :)

By the way, if you guys are curious about,  I can tell you about the original Tristania3D blueprint, and the things which was not included in the complete game...

Have you ever considered making a sequel with Mariangela?

I started playing this morning and I really like it so far. I like the retro style.

Well, it entirely depends on you - the fans of Tristania, and the fans of the game :)

If you would really like to see a sequel, we might create one. It will be a long, hard work, but it shall be created in a modern engine, without the necessity of emulators and such :) This one is for sure!

And of course, I am also curious about the band's opinion...after all, this is their game  ;)

New Tristania3D remix!

Welcome, fellow Tristania fans!

Even though Tristania3D have been developed, we are still working on some "undocumented" stuff - for your pleasure of course. I wouldn't shout out loud anything yet, but I have created a fresh remix out of the Tristania3D level "Challenge 1" - by popular demand!

Enjoy the new Tristania3D music track - Challenge 1 remix! (the song is originally titled "They are going to GET you!!!)
